Sandcastle competition

Jody's Engineering group gets together with other guys like architects and they compete in the annual Sandcastle competions down in Galveston every yr... this yr they entered under the most humerous... their theme was Galveston idol.... Pants on the ground....
It was pretty cute I thought.... For some reason they didn't win.. oh well .... the girls had fun playing in the water all day... chy even caught a baby fish in her shell net.

Our dogs love Watermelon. They can't wait when we are done with the red part... they take care of the rest. It is funny to watch them both eat... Frodo just keep biting in the same place... not caring what part he is eating... Piper specifically eats the red part.... so delicately.

So this is what I do now..... what a hard job..... stand and look at this all night. Actually it would be better if I liked chocolate. It has been fun.... I love the pineapple dipped in milk chocolate. Strawberries are second. Only one time have I had the white chocolate too. It is so pretty. It is fun to see people seek me out because they can smell the chocolate as soon as they come into the buildings. People think it is so cool. It is fun to go to the Proms.... I already have Chyannes dress and hair picked out! I have met some really nice people and am getting to know the nicer places in Houston. Waiting to go to the really really nice places I have heard about.
Have had really good experiences expept for the night I was on a slope outside (the fountain has to be level to work right) in 95 degree weather and 99% humidity, wearing all black long-sleeved with a bow tie and apron,,, and then the wind started blowing........ chocolate everywhere!!!!!! And then drop the chocolate container and fountain in the driveway of my boss. But that night I did have Roger Clemmins (baseball player for the Yankees and Astros) eat my chocolate!! Ok..... I had to go into the restroom and look on my phones' internet and see who this guy was everyone was talking about........(and I still don't care who he is). Not as good of a story as washing Vogues-Anna Wintour's hair....... twice!!!! You know the lady who the movie "The devil wears Prada" was based on............ Yes she looked just like her pictures and never said a word..... but tipped very well!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chy as Alice in Alice in Wonderland.

Chy was chosen to play the part of Alice in her Theater Class play. She fit the role so perfectly. She kept complaining about the dress they had for Alice that I decided I would make one for her so that it would fit better.

The day before at lunch after the competition.

Again I was Chaperoneing and got to spend the day at Fiesta Six Flags with the Band kids... I had 6 kids that I was supposed to be in charge of.... But I wasn't a very responsible parent.... I didn't stay at the waiting area like most of the other (old) parents... I went and hung out with the kids.... and most of the kids I was resposible for usually made it back to the check in spot before me! I had a blast with Chy and her friends..... One really cute boy name Drew let me ride with him so the girls could go together... it was so fun.

I don't think I can do this.... Hold my hand.....

Ok I have to tell you the story of these pictures.... it tells a story....
It is about Chyannes' friend Catherine... who after watching her friends ride the space shot (SCREAM )decides that she wants to ride it to. She is not a fan of rollercoasters.... but thinks this looks ok. So after waiting in line for forever and getting straped into the seat... then decides she can't do this... and wants to get off..... no one is around to let her off... and this annoying lady is trying to take pictures and keeps saying "SMILE" (That was me of course) then I realize that this girl is going to lose it if she doesn't get off... and too late... the ride starts and it is too late to stop it. The annoying adult on the ground is afraid that Chyanne has lost a really good friend as she will never speak to her again after making her go on the ride........ but as this picture shows.... All was well.... We even got her to go on one of the scariest rollercoaster rides after that!

Chyanne and Band

This was Chyanne at the UIL competition for Band. They did very well and sounded GREAT! It was fun to again be one of the Chaperons..... Chy has some great friends that treat me as one of the kids... so I have fun. I think I spent the whole morning helping the kids fix their horns and apply patches to there coats..... Just up my alley!

This is one of the Diorama's Hayley made for her G/t assignment.... I helped a bit on this and we used some of our old Gingerbread house decorations.... Her assignment was to make a diorama of the backyard she designed. I thought it turned out so cute. I was so glad when this assignment was over.... she had worked on it for 3 months.....Argh!

Hayleys hair for Choir performance

This wasn't really what I had imagined for Hayley's hair to turn out like... but sometimes those are the best mistakes! I love how this turned out.... won't ever be able to do it again I'm sure but it looked so cute that night. Almost forgot to take a picture..... hense the pictures in the auditorium. The red hair is fake hair you clip on that I braided.....

CUPCAKES!!!!!

These our new ways of making cupcakes. I love taking cupcakes to events as they are different than the same old cookies and everyone loves them.. and they are quick to make.... BUT.... I got tired of the same old thing... So TYE DYED Cupcakes! They are almost just as quick to make, but we all swear they taste better... just because they look so cool. Even the wrappers look cool. Doesn't it make you crave cupcakes...... I even striped the frosting!!!!! So easy!!!!!


I have even sent some tye-dyed cupcakes acrossed the states from Texas to Utah..... Happy Birthday Siera... and for no reason Mom.....
And made green and blue tye-dyed for earth day......
So many possibilities..... maybe red white and blue for July 4th???

The FISH dance

This is the Incoming Freshman to Kingwood High Dance.... They call it the Fish dance.... so Chy is now a FISH!!!! Chy had alot of fun at the dance and I got to help with decorations and got to Chaperone the dance.... Yes I was nice and didn't embarrass her at all..... Right Chy?
The last picture is the balloon she got to bring home....
We did her hair kind of fun.... but still normal for the dance. It was really nice for me though.... since she is a bit shorter than most of the kids... I had a hard time seeing her on the dance floor.... so all I had to do was look for a bright pink streak of hair.... and there was Chy.
I can't believe I will be old enough to have a kid in High School..... except when I talk to all the other income moms.... I feel so young as they are at least 10 yrs older than me...... Can't ever win!
