We were really surprised when our bushes in front of our house started blooming! We bought the house after the flowering season and had no idea that they bloomed. It was really nice for a few weeks to see them when we were outside. The neighborhood is so pretty this time of yr as most of the neighborhood has these kinds of bushes and the flowers are so gorgeous. I love the pink ones the best. Our bushes didn't get as many flowers as others did.... but I still loved seeing them.

Chy's doing Hay's hair now!

Chyanne was so sweet and did Hayley's hair for her so when we left her for the week while we went to TREK, she wouldn't have to worry about her hair. It took Chy a couple of hrs over two days to do this with our schedule. It was so good!!!! She has learned well! It was so nice for Hayley ( and our neighbors) to not have to worry about how her hair looked! It stayed in for a week and a half. I loved that week of school, not having to do her hair in the morning! Too bad it can't last forever!
Hayley's Crazy hair day! Again!!!

e

This school is killing me!! Another crazy hair day! I can't handle 2 a yr! It is hard enough to top myself each yr.... let alone in the same yr. We didn't have much time this one around but I think we did ok with what time we had. We did a twist on the knotty hair do. It was really scary looking with all the spikes sticking out. I think this one was a bit more school friendly though! The last picture is what it looked like when we took them out... pretty cute huh!
Chy's school homework

This shows you what an overachiever Chy is. This was a homework assignment chy had for science I think. She was supposed to cut out these little pieces and put together to make the island. Ok She did that..... but then instead of just writing the word.... she decided to spend 3 hrs Twilling them instead! It was so cute. Can you see that the "ecalpon island key and scallops" are out of strips of paper???
Her teacher kept hers as an example for other classes. I couldn't help but notice how much she loves going the extra mile on things.
Chy community band performance

Chy ( and I) joined the Kingwood community band this spring. These were from their first performance. She did such a good job. She even had a small solo and nailed it. ( the first chair messed up on his!!!! But not chy!!!!) The gentleman standing next to her is around 70 yrs old and has been playing for over 50 yrs..... then chy that is 14 and has only been playing for 3 and she is almost as good as he is. He is really sweet with her and shares little hint with her and helps her. It has been really a good experience for her and she is not at all intimidated. Unlike me that chickened out playing at the concert. I sat in the audience and was just fine with that. I need a few more months to get ready to perform. But I guess I better get ready as our next concert is in a few more weeks.
Chy's hairdo for Theater

This is the hairdo I did for Chy's theater performance. It was hard to get that bump in front since her hair doesn't like to do anything but lay flat.... but once I got it... I got it! Her's was the biggest bump that night. Her teacher told me she didn't need as big as bump next time!!LOL. She was sure cute with it, but boy did she look different.
The Importance of Being Ernest

Chy's theater class did The importance of being ernest for their 2 performance this yr. She was chosen to be in the UIL Competition cast. She was the teacher in the play. She did such a good job. They didn't place in the competition but there was alot of politics going on there. I somehow got roped into doing all the casts hair for both the parents and the UIL competition. It was fun but hard to do when you had 3 min per kid. I got pretty good at doing the bumps! The pictures show some of the hairdo's I did. It was fun. Hope I get to do some next yr if she gets some parts in High school.
Hay's Diorama for math.

I think this turned out pretty cute. The assignment was to put as many shapes as she could. She used some of Chy's things from her theater diorama and had some other additions herself. Her's was one of the cutest I saw. Don't you love the eyeballs watching the bedroom. That would creep me out if that was my bedroom. There is even a sink in the bathroom ( I thought it looked more like a urinal but Hayley was grossed out at that so it became a sink!!!)
Hayley sleeping.... or trying to!

u
Hayley wasn't feeling good one night and fell asleep on the couch while dinner was being cooked. She was sleeping peacefully until Piper decided to see what she was doing. Piper kept jumping on top of her quite a few times and she never woke up. I got these pictures after she got off of Hayley's head. It was pretty funny.

My wheat bread

Ok I am really late posting this... These were the first batch of wheat bread that I made after we got back home with my new wheat grinder and wheat from Christmas. Not to bad for my first try huh! I couldn't keep it in the house for about 3 months. As soon as I made a batch the first loaf would be gone in about 30 min and the second loaf gone by the next day and then it would be time to make more. Thank you Dad for teaching me how to make your bread! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!! Love you!
