Since tx doesn't grow fruits or vegetables... I can can anything so this was my way to feel like I did something this yr. Funny the things you miss doing! I froze corn this yr.... aren't they cute!!! I don't know that it was cheaper to do this myself but it was fun and I enjoy the different taste of my corn vs the stores.
